You suggesting Swann's the only offie who doesn't chuck?goodbye to every offspinner whose name isnt Swann
If it's that quick (and not analysed at the end of the day), it'd be ideal. Just like overstepping - immediate no ball. So, if real time results can be produced, would you want every ball over 15 degrees no-balled? Probably the only way it can work, isn't it?
I know the article says otherwise, but I'm sure if it can measure the flex, it can also measure the straightening and hopefully that's what is used.still not a fan of the theory that elbow flexion degree = throw detection
Not me, BoyBrumby does. You suggesting Swann's the only offie who doesn't chuck?
I honestly don't think it's going to reach this point for a while. Far too complex for an automated system. It'll be a tool for the match referee/some other official to use and keep tabs on, and warnings etc can be handed out on when he/she thinks the evidence against the "bowler" is damning enough. If it's that quick (and not analysed at the end of the day), it'd be ideal. Just like overstepping - immediate no ball.
