****ing joke of a player. We're bad enough as it is, can't compete with 10 bloody cricketers.

What a ****ing pathetic effort. And it won't get better in the second innings. McCullum will get himself out, Guptill the trainwreak will get 10 off 72 balls before offering a lame catch after getting stuck against the spinners. Flynn will try to hit himself out of trouble, trying to tell the world he is an attacking batsman.

Hesson looks like a dud choice already with a giant NZ persecution complex.

It won't get any better. The bowling is alright but the batsmen are only interested in IPL contracts.

Oh, and great ****ing idea not having any warm-up matches.

It's funny to see Martin fail, but, really, when it comes down to it it must piss off NZ fans to no end, and rightly so too imo. It's a joke really that an international cricketer can be so inept with the bat...does he actually do it on purpose for the attention he gets or something?

Guptill deserves a bit more support after his showings in the West Indies, but as for the rest of 'em. I don't know what's happened to Taylor, but he shouldn't have bothered turning up for the first couple of days of this test.
