India playing against NZ isn't like climbing Everest. It's more like climbing a dung heap. A trivial exercise but you feel dirty afterwards.Gotta have goals. It's like climbing everest, but you have to dream big.

1. Franklin is a much better batsman than Oram these days. Why is Franklin given a go if they need an all rounder who doesn't bowl much? Isn't Oram a better option than him?
Pretty much. Using your feet doesn't mean mad premeditated charges are go.In your defence, you do pretty much need to learn to use your feet to play spin if you want to be successful in India, especially on turning wickets. There should be a 'I suck at playing spin' exception to that rule though...but in that case, you're going to be fodder anyway.
ffsAshwin reminds me of Kumble a lot of times. This is one of those times.
Yeah alright alright. Forgot about that little detail. You don't have to be a **** about it.1. Franklin is a much better batsman than Oram these days.
2. Oram probably couldn't get through the 8-10 overs a day that Franklin is expected to bowl without getting injured.
3. Oram would still get injured a fair bit just fielding/batting even if he didn't bowl at all.
4. For reasons #2 and #3, Oram retired from Tests and can't be picked anyway.
So in a lot of ways it's like asking why India don't pick Srinath instead of Yadav.
I wonder what should actually be considered worse - getting beaten to a post by Shri, or actually making the same observation as him in the first place?Beaten by Shri, ss. Think about this.
Enough of this.About this test match - more of the same. The pitches in India are prepared to optimally help its spinners. The problem is: when the desi 'heroes' travel abroad,
they fail utterly because the pitches are no longer made for them. As long as this stupid policy continues, India will continue to fail in all tours.
ND bats can handle themselves mate.Good to see Franklin getting the better batsmen on strike nice and early.
See previous response to your post. The last part.I wonder what should actually be considered worse - getting beaten to a post by Shri, or actually making the same observation as him in the first place?
