When you're in such a commanding position, the runs you score are likely to have virtually no baring on the result at all.
Will you keep his 73 in the ongoing test in the same bracket? If yes, then I completely disagree. These kind of innings are extremely important IMO.

We might have been 330 all out without his 73.

I have always thought he has got an unfair amount of abuse to be honest. Good to see him do well again.
