After grouping it by batsman...It doesn't explain it though, because you bowl different plans to different blokes.

Well, sometimes you do bowl a tight line and throw a wider one in. I'm not saying he did it deliberately on this occaion, but it happens.Ex his plan to dumminy was leavable on length ~middle, but not short stuff. WIth random wide one thrown in? Seriously?
Surprise surprise, jabs at the ball from around the wicket and gets bowled. Has been a passenger for well over a year. How many times has he simply just missed the ball either with the bat or in the slips?FFS Strauss, missed a straight one.
Mind on the luxury Lord's lunch , perhaps.

They chucked out Colly the instant they thought he was past it. Strauss has been shot for a long enough time now, it's about time they did the right thing for the team. I mean did anyone seriously expect him to make any runs today or any other time?
Given the way they've mercilessly dropped other players and shafted guys like Onions they're making complete hypocrites of themselves the way they're backing Strauss. It is costing us Test matches and series.
He snicks that last shot, and everyone says the same thing. He has played some unusually intemperate shots for him tbf. His shot at Headingley was... odd.
This for mine is *very* dangerous thinking. Just because it looks good doesn't mean it will even be effective, or even looking over it can't make useful comment.Well, sometimes you do bowl a tight line and throw a wider one in. I'm not saying he did it deliberately on this occaion, but it happens.
I think if you have the impression from watching the play that he bowled well, an the consensus seems to be he did, then I'd run with that.
pretty much. There's a lot of bollocks talked about what to play, at the end of the day Batsmen have to score runs.He snicks that last shot, and everyone says the same thing.
It's a damn sight better than just going off scorecards tbf. Though Hawkeye/pitch maps are useful. This for mine is *very* dangerous thinking. Just because it looks good doesn't mean it will even be effective, or even looking over it can't make useful comment.
