**Official** South Africa in England 2012

I think 240 will still be well below par, Lord's tends to go flatter and flatter after the first day, so batting should get easier. Tomorrow however could be affected by rain, so we really need to dismiss SA today. After tomorrow it should get sunnier and much warmer so batting should get easier and bowling more and more of a chore.

Stating the obvious, England will have to work really, really hard to win this game.
You always do at Lords not matter who you're playing.

The weather is the biggest worry for me, we need to get as close to the full 5 days as we can.

As I say it's my pessimism about our batting, normally I'd say 320 was about par.

Abysmal shot from Rudolph. Now Swann has tasted blood, I hope he lifts - it's been a little while since he ran through a side (even though in this case it'd be the tail)

That's ****ing ridiculous. Calling Finn for a dead ball the very first time he nudges the bails in his delivery stride. I don't think there is anything in the laws about it.

Pathetic copycat umpiring.
