Na not at his consistent best but he's bowled some very good spells as well, particularly second day afternoon and 3rd morning, just gone unrewarded

Yeah, just waste another over or two together with the 2 over change of innings.
Come out guns blazing for a couple of overs then declare if they're going too. Uses up a couple of overs for the innings change that way too.

maybe, but do not forget we playing with 3 injured batsman and 2 REALLY bad umpire descisions as well. i don't think their performance today will effect SA too much.
Not saying england didnt play well, they did. but have to take the above into context as well.

6 wickets in a pretty crazy session
Even if England could get the last few wickets, leaving say 40 overs to chase 250 which is over 6 rpo, it's a bit unrealistic.
Would be interesting to see England's mind set though and if they'd open with KP and Prior, if they fell quickish, shut up shop.

It's about how it effects England's mind set, huge confidence session.
The Rudolph one looked plumb in real time, so I wouldn't call it really bad call at all, anyway shouldn't have wasted their reviews.

Even in the above scenario they'll need more than 6-an-over simply because there's nothing to stop the fielding captain slowing things down so that all the overs aren't bowled if we look like getting close. And I wouldn't blame Smith - we'd do exactly the same.
Yeah, might as well open with KP. Not sure about Prior though.

Yes maybe send him in with Bell or cook, then leave Prior till 3, all very unlikely though.

They would need to take the final 3 wickets very quickly indeed to even think about it.
fwiw I reckon if it happens in the next five overs they might have a dart. If not, you're probably right.
