I suspect that Finn will get the Lord's Test, as they went with Bresnan here - hard luck on Onions but I reckon Swann for Bresnan will be the only change. Pietersen's 2-5 became 2-35 very quickly didn't it, tbf he's not used to bowling this much. Reminds me a bit of when Vaughan or Ramprakash would have the occasional long spell.
If Onions doesn't play after this ****e it will be a disgrace. Finn has been poor, again. All he's done to elevate himself above Onions is perform in an ODI series against a disinterested and pretty poor Australian batting lineup. Everywhere else he has been comprehensively outperformed by Onions. He was lucky to get this chance, he hasn't taken it. We need to get at South Africa's batting early, we've been absolutely pathetic up front so far. Onions with a new ball is what is required. Broad and Finn aren't really new ball bowlers. Onions will use it properly.

It will be interesting how Kallis plays now..
I reckon that six off KP was as much about making a statement about the bowler as upping the run-rate. Something of a "ffs" shot - a silent protest about him getting those three wickets. He'll probably take it easier against the quicks.

The question is what would Clarke do in this situation. Declared with a lead of 100, himself taking 4, Hussey 5 and Warner 1 winning the match with 50 runs to spare imo.

I wonder how many balls Finn has bowled that would actually have hit the stumps.
The answer, for anyone who's interested, is a grand total of one. In 13.3 overs, he's bowled 1 ball that would have hit the stumps.
