Desperately trying not to jinx the boy, but Taylor's knock has suggested an air of permanency.

Might be a bit concerned with him against spin, because he has pushed at a few outside off with quite hard hands, however for now it's just what the doctor ordered after Ravi and Morgan.

Innit.

Only criticism and it is small at this point, is that he needs to learn to rotate the strike, plenty of time to develop that though.

I bet a month ago Taylor didn't think in a million years he'd have a 130 run partnership for England, with KP against SA.

When I've seen Taylor against spin before he's very quick on his feet and uses his wrists very well, good example of that there.

Bah, hard lines wee man.

Horrible shot, it must be said. Looked to be caught in two minds between a defensive shot and a cut, left a massive gate and it took the inside edge.

Ohh gutted for him, just didn't get forward or back there, could have done with lasting the day, good innings by him though, showed he belongs here.

Whatever happens from here, we need these 2 to see the day out, 12 overs left maybe end the day 50 or so behind, then the ideal two player to start tomorrow morning.

I know he's on 100 odd and it's been a great knock, but that is such selfish cricket from Pietersen, trying to play that switch hit ****. Last thing England want is to lose a wicket just before the end of play.

Bit lazy there, seems to be having hip or thigh trouble , seemed to do something earlier.

Would have been a horrible way to go though.

"It's the way he plays"

But yeah, agreed. One can be pretty sure he'll end up getting himself out at some point, but this close to stumps, Kev? Really?

They said it on air, once he's moved through the gears he finds it hard changing back down again, kind of shot that sends fear into fans especially at this time of day but he feels confident playing it and rarely ****s it up, would look soooo bad though.

When you're seeing it like a beach ball, you're seeing it like a beach ball I suppose.
