**Official** South Africa in England 2012

Taylor or van Wyk: who's shorter?

Think the former's official height of 5' 6" is very, very generous, myself. Woulda said 5' 3"/5' 4" tops.

Looks content to survive too much, IMHO. 4 from 27 is building pressure on himself.

Ooo, edges between first and second slip as I type.

Going at 4.5 per over since he came in but he needs to get himself off strike more. They've kept off his legs though SA and tried to make him play through the covers, he's tried to play as straight as possible though since he's come in and as late as he can.

Incredible shot.

Short of an OPEC embargo on bouncers, the lack of short ones in this short period of play is damning of the Saffers. No ****, KP would surely be even a bit more hesitant to play shots like that one if he thought he was at risk of having his clocked cleaned. Can't believe the lack of attention to Taylor's ribs either. How about some hip-to-heart?

Reckon he's near enough to 5'6" and Van Wyk is shorter

Not sure what title they're competing for though as there have been and still are numerous shorter subcontinental players

Slips are too deep to Taylor he's playing with soft hands and isn't tall enough for the edge to start off with enough height.

Still playing internationals? Unless we're including Partiv Patel as current I'd guess it's Sachin & would put good money on both being shorter than him.

Wiki has Taylor as 5' 4", ftr.

EDIT: Mushfiqur probs shorter, now I think of it.

Used his feet well Taylor there against Tahir .

Well done KP, passes 7000 Test match runs.

About time someone lost their cushy position with these constant ****house batting displays. It's not good for our top 6 to hand 3-4 wickets on a plate one innings after another.

No better batsman to watch than KP when he's set, IMHO. His eye is amazing.

Saffers should try a few outside off to get him reaching; feeding his pull might get him out but could cost them another 70 or 80 to do it.

7000 test runs up. Fair play.
