There was a point, not long ago, that he was quick enough to justify the hype. He was bowling consistently at 90mph. But he doesn't seem to be doing that anymore. I have little to base this on, but I think England bowlers condition themselves so well, that their speed pushes up toward 90mph but before long, they are playing so often that they have no time to stay in the gym to maintain this. Or perhaps their bodies simply fatigue.
Finn doesn't bowl as quickly in Tests - he did the same thing in the past, bowling a good few yards quicker in ODIs.

oh man the replay is on and its nearly over, there's a guy in the crowd scoring. fmd I do everything I can, plead illiteracy and innumeracy to get out of it. Have even tried "no english! no english!"

and he's doing the long ball by ball system

At mine it's really overcast, low lying cloud, not too dark atm but looks perfect swing bowling weather unfortunately.

Yes bowls consistently over 90mph in limited overs but for the most part in test matches is high 80's, although he did cranked a couple over 90 yesterday. Same with a lot of the bowlers, Morkel can be around 90 in one day cricket but here he's mostly operating at 85/86.

Better over from Philander.

Apparently there's a few showers brewing in the distance, ffs.

Nice one Cooky, didn't do nothing on first view just missed it.

The only chance he had was pitching leg side and just got it to do enough.

It was the length more than anything that caused the problems and jagged a bit.

Haven't bowled that well SA considering the conditions until that ball.
