Thought the same, watched plenty of Kallis bowl the past couple of yeas and I thought he'd lost it a bit and his pace had dropped. Showed he still had it him though last test match.

Even the greatest slip catchers drop dollies occasionally. And I could argue that slip catches are never real dollies.

Anyway, part, even an essential part, of being a top batsman is not to add that to the pressure. I rate Strauss, and especially his ability to not be pressurised, quite highly. Not Keith Miller high, but still.

He's digging in, he was 2 off 26 last time I looked, dropped him as well by the sounds of it.

It's black as **** over head at mine and I'm 6miles away, looks like it could piss it down.


Anyway the ideal start from England, good stuff & they look really determined.

The self-evident point is SA are two wickets from exposing a very, very soft middle order. Do you have a difficulty with it?

What a crock of **** to say its trolling to point out England are suspect despite this start, when we've had to read two straight days of bitching how lucky a bloke was who made 180 odd with barely any recognition for his effort, only how sad it's been that the poor bowlers were just the epitome of bad luck in not routing their opponentsfor 15.

I think that's it for play today. Big, slow-moving showers approching Leeds from the SSW.
