Auction Draft - Simple Format

Actually, kk, we could make a deal...
I don't think there's a deal to be made, here.

You two are the highest two remaining budgets, and therefore, unless KK handles this poorly, will get a player each. It'll just end up being your choice who gets which player, and a bowler would benefit both of you more, all things considered.

Well Jager would be wise not to get Sutcliffe, and ensure you don't get Sutcliffe, and then he has the moneypower to stop you completing your bowling attack - removing what would be a massive threat. :p I think Jager would prefer a bowler, from what he's said, so going for Sutcliffe would work well for you. Just my two cents though.

(btw, it's Worrell ;))
 What you talking about?

I will bid one higher than weeman (our closest threat). You agree to forfeit Sutcliffe... if the last player is a fast bowler, you get him, if he is anything else, you leave him for me?

Still probably a seam bowler short, but I bat pretty deep and almost certainly have the best spin attack in the competition.

Why? Those who planned well and didn't blow all their money for overs are reaping the benefits now. That's how it should be.
There's a difference between that and outright collusion though.

In closed auctions the people with money reap the benefits but still have to apply thought.

What's wrong with collusion? The plans we've generated in order for this to be a success, in order for us both to get the player(s) we wanted, have had thought applied to them. It's just different.

Depends on how the sim is done but if it's ITC and is done properly then most teams will only have 4 bowlers in the main anyway so you'll be 2 and 2.

Yes, but you've only been able to do it by knowing everyone's budget - removed a ****-load of skill and thought process.

I disagree. There's no skill in bidding $1 more than your nearest rival in a silent auction - it's [almost] pure luck. There's far more skill involved here, in terms of budget maintenance in accordance with the rest of the managers.
