  1. Richard
  2. Voltman
  3. Martin Crowe
  4. James (c)
  5. Cribb
  6. vic_orthdox
  7. marc71178
  8. Neil Pickup (+)
  9. Goughy
  10. GIMH
  11. HeathDavisSpeed
12th: Precam
Coach: Ian Pont
Assistant Coach: Burgey
Statistician: SJS

Opening combination would be hilarious to watch - each contriving ways to get the other out. Assuming they don't, Richard to be the Geoff Boycott of the team, and Voltman to be the Nathan Astle.

Martin Crowe bats at 3. He's Martin f'ing Crowe.

Then you have a middle order of enforcers, starting with CW's fearless leader James. Cribb comes in to do a Jonathan Trott impersonation, accumulating statistics through soulless batting. And deriving a formula to ensure his standardised average is far higher than that of anyone else. Marc slots in at six by sheer weight of posts.

Goughy serves as an all-rounder, simply for having a name based off Darren Gough (and actually being able to bowl), while HDS makes it in solely for his name too. Vic an automatic selection.

GIMH makes it in since every team needs someone to act like a **** towards the opposition. Neil Pickup takes the gloves.

Pont's qualified as a coach, and that overrides his personality. Expect Pietersen/Moores style fireworks in this XI between GIMH and Pont. I get the feeling they would clash rather often. Burgey assisting to instill his "If you lose you're just a failure" mentality. SJS balances it out by interrupting with statistical knowledge, proving in the process that Bradman pales in comparison to Glenn McGrath as a batsman.

Precam as 12th man because he never runs out of energy.

I'm not batting 11 in that side.
CWXI tells me you made 307 @ 11.37 for them :p
Admittedly you did sign up as a bowler... I'll go fix it.

Realistically, CW alumni could form a low FC-grade team (athough one dominated by a few players). We've got Mathew Sinclair, Peter McGlashan, Te Ahu Davis, Ian Pont & Martin Crowe on the books. Could draw with the Southern Rocks, surely.

So that gives us:

1. SJS 2. dro87 3. Mathew Sinclair 4. Martin Crowe 5. Peter McGlashan (wk) 6. Jimmy Neesham 7. Ian Pont 8. vic_orthdox 9. Langeveldt 10. Mitchell McClenaghan 11. Te Ahu Davis

JimmyGS has played FC cricket as well hasn't he?

Do Sinclair and McGlashan count?

1. Hogan (we're allowed him in his prime right?)
2. Mathew Sinclair
3. JimmyGS (3)
4. Peter McGlashan (wk)
5. DCYE
6. Monk
7.
8.
9. Vic Orthdox (4)
10. Mitch M (1)
11. TeAhuD (2)

Thats all the good players I know of. DCYE played grade cricket iirc. Any FC players from other countries lurking here?

Still putting money on SteveNZ being one of the Colins.
Haha, I'd make this side. I'm certain of it. You'll work it out one day...

I'll be our Umpire. I do know the laws, and can be obnoxious and irascible as necessary. I also have a low minimum bribe level, although on the downside I have a short concentration span and need regular toilet breaks

Would definitely back Volty to saw off Richard first.

That said, Volty opening the batting probably isn't a great idea - and bagsy not captaining him again. Pretty useful leg-spinner though.

I've been convinced you play First Class cricket (or have played in the past) for a while tbh, but I haven't the foggiest as to who you actually are specifically, unless you really are Colin Munro (which would be hilarious btw).
