Cook perhaps, but Trott's a fair smoother, more orthodox player. Has a cover drive, for one.Tbh as a nuetral smith is far better to watch than trott// cook.
You MUST be joking! Trott and Cook are much more aesthetically pleasing batsman than that leg-side dominated crab-like Smith.Diffrent game now. Smith unluky.

Very intrestingitstl.
I suppose we usually start abysmally against SA at home, and then hope we get lucky enough to turn the series around in the last couple of tests. Perhaps not the smartest strategy in a three test series.Strauss and England playing the long game here - lulling them into a false sense of security
Out for less than 20. He has a poor record in England.Kallis 143* at declaration, you heard it here first
As a neutral, I find Cook impressive to watch. Trott is infuriating. Smith's technique is aesthetically appallingYou MUST be joking! Trott and Cook are much more aesthetically pleasing batsman than that leg-side dominated crab-like Smith.
I think Petersen and Strauss might be worse, but you know, they hardly matterThank **** that's over. Worst player to watch, honestly. Fat, bottom-hand shovelling ****.
Not neutral but you sum it up perfectly there. Trott annoys me with some of his antics scratching at the crease etc so god knows how annoying that must be to a fan of another side.As a neutral, I find Cook impressive to watch. Trott is infuriating. Smith's technique is aesthetically appalling
Only Amla goes BIG more often.VVS and Amla probably the best comparison I'd say.
Trott definitely has the Smithean tendency to work anything on off stump towards midwicket, which I find ungainly when it's done as a process. But yeah, when he decides to actually bother with the off side, his shots through cover are definitely a lot more classical and aesthetically pleasing than Smith's.Cook perhaps, but Trott's a fair smoother, more orthodox player. Ug, leg side half volley. Has a four, Jacques, old son.
good intent thoughAs a neutral, I find Cook impressive to watch. Trott is infuriating. Smith's technique is aesthetically appalling
There is a first time for everything.Just a reminder SA still haven't lost after a smith 100.
