Test Cricket Draft

Then it's going to be a huge problem (if the order remains the same) for the guys caught up in the middle esp more in 12 players format although I've no problem if others agree

I think its reasonable for people to be able to check on once in a 12 hour period to either pick or leave their pick with someone. Anything less is too short imho.

Trust me man, every time a draft starts this thing gets dicussed and it always comes back to this. In short : the guy who picks first has to wait for two rounds for his next pick, so it evens up. The guy who picks last gets two picks back to back after having to wait a whole round and possibly losing the top picks, so it again evens out. And the guy in the middle has the least amount of picks between two picks. So it is the fairest way IMO.

I recommend random for 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th

Reverse ones would be 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th

I honestly don't feel randomizing the order every odd round helps much. If anything, it results in more imbalance than it would if the current system is followed.

In the current system, the only one who really benefits is the person who is drawn first in round one as he gets the double pick each round in addition to first pick.
