Still not sure how to rate Bailey's innings. Was too slow for way too long but he's stuck out there and anchored the innings + accelerated.
It's been a decent knock in itself (still too slow though), but I'm not a fan at all of this tactic of starting off ridiculously slow and then relying on a massive acceleration towards the end. More times than not I don't think it will pay off, unless you're an exceptional player like Mussey or Dhoni.

I don't think he intended to hit everything to midwicket early on tbf.

Na it's more than just an inability to find the gaps, it's a definite game plan too. I haven't seen much of Bailey though so I don't know if it's something he does regularly, but Forrest is definately another one who favours that approach.
