The other Counties wouldn't take too kindly to the idea of that, It'd mean sharing that SKY money around even further, most Counties are already skint enough.

I think Glenn Maxwell might've been signed up by Hampshire for the T20. Been playing for their 2nd XI this year, while playing for South Wilts CC.

Yorkshire's patience has finally run out, I thought at the start of the season when I went to watch him a couple of times that there were signs pf improvement but it looks like a false dawn. Not sure what to do about him or what he should to get back to at least where he was a few years ago, maybe get himself abroad in the winter and get loads of first class cricket down his neck instead of the Twenty20 stuff, maybe the subcontinent.

As I said they should have held onto Wainwright for a bit longer until Rashid got dropped. He's nothing flash but he'd they know they'd get a consistent performance to help get them out of division 2. Rashid's only decent performances of late have been in T20, although he was poor last season as well for Yorkshi*e. Early in his career he travelled and played first class cricket, since then he travels and plays T20.

For example the South African 'A' side are touring Ireland to play some unofficial tests and limited overs stuff in August.

Will the Counties release Porterfield, Joyce, Stirling, O'Brien's, Dockrell, Rankin and Murtagh?

Interested to see how Phil Hughes gets on, new technique and all. Currently doing a Joe Sayers and going like a snail but still there. Nic Compton only has two days left to get the 50 odd he needs for a 1,000 runs.

Exactly. I have no idea why they let Charl go and didn't pick up another pace bowler. They need one extra, experienced quick to go with the young guys they have (and Alfonso).

On hughes, don't know what the technique changes are. but he's been working on it with his coach, rather than anything to do with justin 'devil' langer.

from memory, the whole 'being a bunny outside off' didn't really start until the 2nd technique change so here's hoping. but that could be my memory being a ****. made 100 in the oder too

He'll be thanking God that Guptill's in Div 2, IMO.

Don't know about a "second" technique change, think it was a continual process that was somewhat disrupted by being recalled to the Test side. You can't be trying to play Test cricket while making big adjustments to your game, and that's what happened with Hughes. You go out there, and then try to bat as you know best, and he'd really been caught in no mans land, so took some time out of the glare of FC/televised cricket to sort it out.

Coming off a ton for the Hants 2nd XI off 31 balls in a T20 too.

Excellent fielder, probably more of a batsman than a bowler, bowling isn't too bad and makes him an excellent package.
