Come on Mumbai!

I really want to see Sachin lift the IPL trophy.

I may be English, but that man is my sporting idol.

Bizarre stuff from Chennai. Shove du Plessis when he's been gunning it at the top of the order and as Lancashire fans will know he's bloody useless coming in later anyway (Chennai have plenty of lower order hitting and depth), watch him do badly, then drop him entirely and have Mike Hussey open the batting.

Surely Faf brings more to the side than Hussey? Particularly given up until Mike arrived, Faf was the leading run scoring in IPL.

Mumbai must be heavy favourites here. Chennai's batting hasn't clicked as a unit pretty much throughout.

Vijay has been a complete and utter fail. Not one 50 all IPL.

Are the commentators the only people who haven't noticed that the close lbw shout that he might have got a nick on actually hit the middle of the bat?

Not counting Mumbai as victors until they need 1 off 5 overs with 8+ wickets in hand.

Rubbish captaincy. When the ball was swinging they just didn't attack, one slip and twice the ball went wide of them. Then Turbinator swaps the bowlers around randomly. Kulkarni bowling the 16th and 20th overs was moronic in the extreme and a total waste, he takes two wickets, has an edge go just wide and you keep him back for when he's going to be fodder? You've got your generic pie thrower in RP Singh to fill the other overs as he'll be crap whenever he bowls. Malinga should bowl 18 and 20 - when it's swinging at the start maybe just save all his overs for the last 10-12.

Mumbai are South Africa of the IPL. Bloody Choke everytime.

Will rage so hard if Chennai go on to win this. C'mon Delhi!!!!

Whatever it takes!!!
Great to see the team with Bhajji and Munaf crash out.. Seriously, their talent to show off ratio is actually higher than idiots like Marlon Samuels.. And THAT is saying a lot.

That's a good thing to come out of today, but still would have prefered them over N.Srinivasan.

And ofcourse, Mumbai had Sachin.

nah.. think the Ambanis are just as bad as Srinivasan. Just doesn't reflect that much with respect to cricket. MI have this ugly habit of picking up anyone who is making headlines off T20s and then seeing them fizzle out to nothing. It was Levi this IPL and it was KP a few seasons back.

Surprised you think that. I'm a big fan of Faf and I think he will be an important player going forward for South Africa in the middle overs of limited overs games. Having said that, it would be a major risk to play him above a proven, experienced and classy player like Hussey at this stage in the tournament. At this point, it's not so much about what someone brings to the side and relative form. It's just about experience and knowing how to deal with various situations. For example, when CSK were 1/2 after 2 overs today, someone like Faf who doesn't yet have the big match experience may have panicked and given his wicket away at an awkward time whereas you would trust Hussey to bat you out of that predicament because he has done it so many times in his international career.

Um why are people hating on CSK again? They're a genuinely likeable team, unlike MI.

Also probably the wrong topic to ask, but is there any realistic chance of Pak v Aus in Ind? Would personally welcome it, although the heat's gonna be killer lol.
