Please no, I've just finished an exam on Knowledge and Reality. What is truth?
baby don't hurt me... don't hurt me...no more. What is truth?
awta.pretty obvious to see what an is saying. Trying to be dileberately obtuse just makes people look dense. Hussey averaged like 80 or something for a period of time, but it was patently obvious that it wasn't a true indication of his ability based on what people have actually seen over the course of his career. More to cricket than spreadsheets and stats.

Awta * 2awta.
I don't think anyone would disagree with the idea that average doesn't always equal ability. This is just a case of calling someone out for posting something that's fairly poorly phrased.Pretty obvious to see what AN is saying. Trying to be dileberately obtuse just makes people look dense. Nah it's not poorly phrased if you take into account the reasonable assumption that people will see the comment for what it is and not get bitchy and act the fool. Pretty sure AN can read cricinfo and look at his actual test average. People were just being deliberately obtuse, and wasting everyone's time/bandwidth.I don't think anyone would disagree with the idea that average doesn't always equal ability. Fkin hell, this is why the rest of the sporting world hate the English - some of their fans are horrible in victory and defeatEasy in the end, nice start to the summer. Should wrap the series up next week.
Pretty sure I was on the record saying that H00ssey is a 50 run averaging player at best when he was batting at 80 itbt.I can see what you're saying Benchy, but one could argue that in his point AN was degrading Bresnan. I mean when Hussey was averaging 80 it wouldn't really be fair to say he's a player who should be averaging in the mid 30's, because from the evidence of how his test career had gone up to that point, there was no reason to suggest that that would be the case.
Bloke's played twelve tests and we've won twelve of them. In the last two he's contributed the square root of Fanny Adams, but we've still emerged victorious coming off four arseholings on the bounce. But on a related note, do England fans want Bresnan dropped? Tough one for me.
Mazhar Majeed still operating behind bars.Bloke's played twelve tests and we've won twelve of them. In the last two he's contributed the square root of Fanny Adams, but we've still emerged victorious coming off four arseholings on the bounce.
So I vote "no".
Just watching the highlights on 5. Kemar's a genuine talent, but the boy does enjoy a no-ball, doesn't he? Will cost him a wicket one of these days.
No it was a stupid post. saying someone's true average is anything other than their average is dense. Pretty clear what I'm saying given in a following post I said you could quite easily argue his average doesn't reflect his ability. Bringing stats and spreadsheets into the next post was just a huge straw man on your part. Ridiculous posting.Pretty obvious to see what AN is saying. No it's not stupid at all. Anyone with something even remotely resembling common sense, which I admit is not very common, especially around these parts, could figure out that AN was saying that someones true average is the average which best represents their ability. But wah wah someone doesn't rate a player that plays for my team so it must be a stupid post.No it was a stupid post. saying someone's true average is anything other than their average is dense.
