It's only one person to be fair, the same person who also wanted KP replaced and seemed to think replacing them with out of form mediocre players (Hildreth) and batting openers out of position.A fair amount of anti-Ian Bell sentiment lately, but I am a little curious as to hear more as to why? He's perhaps not done justice to his talent but it is still a little interesting to see how someone can go from being considered England's best batsman only a few months ago to not being worthy of a place in the side.
Root with only his second first class hundred. Won't be long now before we see Root, Ballance and Bairstow in the same England team together!
Haterz are gonna hate.
Don't the haterz have enough ammunition to be going on with?
Amongst a heap of drivel - anyone who doesn't think Bell should be in the team at the moment is a fool.Bopara was a luxury England could afford when they looked like the best team around. Now it's clear that they're not, and that they moreover have a seriously dodgy batting order which is way too dependent on tailend runs, I would have thought the first thing the selectors would have done is to own up to their most glaring mistakes and draft in Bairstow and Taylor for Bell and Bopara.
But they won't. They're so flattered by the praise they receive for their "commitment to continuity" and "principled support for unpopular players" that they stubbornly cling to former mistakes like a gambler on a losing streak begging those he owes for a "doubles or quits" stake. And the structural problems with England's batting order go unsolved all the while.
If Anderson, Broad and Swann were on the other side the tourists would be favourites for the series win.
Unfortunately for you Bell is not quality. Nor have I ever advocated, or even so much as mentioned, Compton.Amongst a heap of drivel - anyone who doesn't think Bell should be in the team at the moment is a fool.
Back quality and stick with it is how all teams, in all sports get good and stay good.
Compton, unless there is a serious injury crisis, shouldn't be anywhere near the team either.
Indeed - And if said haters are prepared to put the happen stance of where he was born over things like playing here as a teenager and coming through the Yorkshire academy, I see no reason to pander to them.Haterz are gonna hate.
Yes it's probably why his name hasn't stood out as much as others, although he's defo produced the goods in his time here at Yorkshire and looks a proper player.Bit of a moot point on Ballance as the average is inflated by about a 1000 from playing cricket in ZIm.
