Chances he will lead the side to the next world cup? Pretty slim I would guess.

Could have made worse appointments but it's pretty much the definition of uninspiring.

This is undoubtedly true, but I wouldn't really describe it as a "solid" choice either. In fact I don't know how I would describe it. It's just Roy.

Surprised they gave Roy a 4 year contract. Doesn't really make sense, unless there are lots of get-out clauses in place.

I hope they don't ask Roy about Harry at the presser. It could get all a bit Monty Python talking about Hawwy Wedknapp.

Well above all else, I'm pretty pleased for Roy on a personal level. Has always struck me as being a very earnest chap who has a lot of integrity. Really hope he's given a fair crack at this, and that the media can at least keep off his back for a while.

So Liverpool now 3 points behind Everton and only ahead of Fulham on goal difference after tonight's results. Great season.

Another 100m coming this summer too. Hope they win the cup and use that as justification to keep Kenny on. Their league season has been more disastrous than ours. 5 wins out of 18 home games. Mental.

What? You can't honestly say this season has been a disaster for Arsenal. All things considered, I think it's turned out bloody well, quite honestly (provided nothing dreadful happens in the remaining two games).

The Scum rather has it in for Woy, calling Wilshere "weasily" for backing Hodgson, seems a particularly pleasant move. Of course they were using the fact England players hadn't tweeted support as a major reason Hodgson wasn't the man for the job last week, so nice churlish response from their chief football writer there.

Paul Merson on the Sky Sports website: 'The whole country - and I mean the whole country - wanted Harry Redknapp...he's going to be up against it straight away because everyone wanted someone else...they're not listening to the country - otherwise they'd have given the job to Harry...'
Lol.

I know this has been touched on in this thread before, but I have not encountered one, single person who'd expressed a view that was remotely close to this.

**** of Merse you stupid arsehole.
