That's more a simulator question than a database question so I'm not 100% qualified to answer (I didn't make ITC) but yes, basically. Maxwell will be entered into the database as a middle order batsman, and given the simulator has an field for that it'll treat him as a middle order batsman opening if you do that.

Obviously not quite so bad though as this bloke has at least played eight games that count and done rather well in them. Pietersen is yet to play professional cricket at all.
