Philander was in the squad/side announced yesterday, must have pulled up this morning. Good start by Somerset however.

See Glamorgan are consistent as always. No batsman after 5 innings averages over 13 for the season. The highest score by any Glamorgan batsman this year is 47 while Moises has been demoted to 7. Let's be done with them.

I'd be in favour of stripping them of FC status, as long as it meant stripping them of all future international cricket as well...

Not sure how the Lancs game has started considering I live 5 minutes away and its absolutely pissing down!

Whatever happens doubt they'll be on the field for much longer!

Well not much cricket going on today, was great weather this time last year. Hopefully this means we will get a summer in the right time this year.

Funny thing is a month ago they'd have had no problem, indeed players and spectators would have needed sun cream.

What an opening partnership though! Might get to the giddy heights of 40 at this rate

Interesting to see Kegga and Keeds both playing - dont fancy Warks chances in the fourth innings if our batting and the weather permits the game to get that far

Probably both playing because Bell is playing!

Why haven't Lancashire returned to Old Trafford yet?

David Balcombe loving life right now 5/29 following his 8 for last week.

If we could not bowl out Glamorgan on a day like this then there really was no hope for us but good to see nonetheless.

Yorkshi*e don't exactly have a great track record with talented bowlers lately. There are better finishing schools. I guess Starc would really firm up their batting lineup though, would be their third best batsman after Bairstow and Sidebottom.
:lol:Listen to it, a couple of championships and he thinks his **** don't stink.

Didn't Straussy hit some big runs domestically before his recent crappy run? If so here's hoping for a succession of ducks. Good on you Onions.

Philander already feeling the full effect of county cricket. Somerset bowling lineup looks pretty threadbare with Trego opening the bowling. Adams also missing for Notts to even things up a bit though.

Knocking over Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge in these conditions is hardly the greatest test of a teams bowling resources.
Considering it has been chiefly done by Peter Trego and James Taylor is apparently despite never looking like it, quality, it’s a fair effort. Hales and Patel are also England internationals though both guys batting has gone to pot it seems. Hales looking a bit too much like a front foot bully to have much success early season opening. Needs to probably take the Jason Viru Roy advice to succeed and not **** around and just get on with it.
