Season 2 Draft Discussion

Sorry, I should have checked. Decent performance last season, however not a steal this far into the draft.

He's no spring chicken though, not much of sustainable pick in the long run. Assuming we do a few seasons of this.
Anyone picking for the long term is doing it wrong. We only had four retentions this year despite retaining quite a number of teams. Everyone loves a draft.

You could've picked another batsman and ran with the unbeatable lower order if you wanted; Kallis could handle first change given the other bowlers you have.

I detected your facetiousness but assumed you were doing it somewhat sarcastically to defend your pick against an attack that I hadn't in fact made. As it turned out, your facetiousness merely stemmed from the fact that you're facetious.
you sound surprised?

I guess, but if you make some smart picks in the latter rounds and they can turn into stars then you can do some great retaining. Like how Marcuss managed to retain Phillander. Phillander probably would've have been the first person picked in the draft, but Marcuss got him as a round 6 pick.

Clearly of the opinion that the Oxford dictionary is abstemious from other such words which contain all 5 vowels in the correct order.

Classy.

Edit: Or, at least you were being if that sentence doesn't seem clumsily worded. I'm assuming it doesn't because I don't know what abstemious means.

and Ryan Harris in 11

Basically have 3 first round picks.

GIMH

Norwood's on Fire
I know GIMP's going for a Pom thing, but Lumb's a bit of a crap pick.

Thought Ganguly would go under the radar due to his inactivity :(.

Was unconvinced about Copeland because he was fairly ordinary last season.
Was in a rush but he'll score me a few I reckon. Just got a feeling

Just noticed the immense gap between my next two picks. Hmm. Makes this one a bit tricky.

Logic behind Hopes is that if I ever need to lengthen the batting lineup then I can drop my 3rd seamer and he and Kallis can cover that role. His bowling has been really good in the last few seasons.

Yeah, I'm happy that he's a good enough player to be picked at this stage. Just not sure he was exactly what I need ahead of other types of player.
