And that's why this Manure side is the best in years. Roberto Martinez legend.

Dissapointed but not overly flustered about this tbh. Expected a hiccup sooner or later, and the run in was getting too easy, while we like to win it the harder way. :p

Can expect ****ty to slip up more too.

Gun result for Wigan, have given themselves a real chance of staying up now. Roberto Martinez such a great lad.

Edit: Too bad their next game is away to Arsenal. It's a game Arsenal really need to win as well.

Ha ha, have been out with the missus tonight so wasn't following any of the games but I can honestly say that coming home and seeing the United result didn't surprise me in the slightest. It's an oft-quoted maxim that United never do things the easy way, and things had been falling into place with such disturbing ease for United in recent weeks that tonight's result was somehow inevitable. Still, if tonight means that both QPR and Wigan stay up I won't be too disappointed. If anything, this will hopefully stop the entire country from calling the title race over so early.

Have had a quick look at RoM and the general themes are:

- United were rank, Wigan were good, the result was thoroughly deserved
- United's team selection and substitutions screamed of complacency, particularly with no other competitions to be worrying about - with Giggs and Jones especially poor
- Wigan scored from a corner that never was and United had a clear hand-ball penalty denied, so certain posters were giving it large about smashing the "United always get the decisions" perception

Can anyone who actually saw the match confirm/deny any of this?

I didn't see it but those posters seem to have omitted a shambles of a disallowed goal, one which clearly should have stood :p

You can shove the argument against United always getting decisions considering Wigan had a legitimate goal chalked off for no apparent reason.

Ha ha, I'd actually seen both the RoM (admittedly biased) and the Sky (admittedly marginal) mention of the disallowed goal that said it was legitimately chalked off. Apparently not everyone saw it that way.

C'd.

The Win was fully deserved. It almost reminded me of the Bilbao games.

Hernandez,Jones at Right Back and particularly Giggs and Evans were poor. The substitutions were strange too with Cleverley for Young and Nani for Rooney instead of Giggs being somewhat WTF?

Evans was easily the worst player though. Had a torrid time against Moses.

Yeah, those 2 statements about decisions are correct and there was one occasion where Danny Welbeck through on goal could have gone down with his shirt being tucked but didn't. On the converse though, Wigan had a goal from a corner disallowed wrongly in the first half AFAIC.

Three home games for United that they'll piss even with Jones in the side. Citeh won't be perfect in their matches. It's still over, but not as over as it was.
