Doug Bracewell Discussion

zinzan, you think he is a good enough bat to average 22-23? Even his FC batting average is just 20

Sometimes I think we need to keep in mind that bowlers and batsmen are allowed to start their careers slowly, soak it all in, advance mentally, technically and physically and improve their numbers. That's all it is with Bracewell.

Oh and as that Scaly character always says, experience plays a big part as well.

Yup, he's been playing FC cricket for close to 3 years & his batting has improved out of sight in more recent times

Will be plagued by injuries; 130 wickets @ 29.96.

Depressingly likely.
I actually think he'll be relatively okay on the injury front. Unlike Bond, who by his own concession was lazy & didn't look after his body when he was young, Bracewell's been exposed to hard work & tough discipline from an early age & looks fairly robust.

Bracewell average after 7 tests bowling 22.83 - batting 7.5

Didn't look as threatening in the 3rd test.

This is a blatant guessing game. Anything could happen between now and his 35th birthday.

Sticking by 500 @ 21.
