***Official*** South Africa in New Zealand 2012

Flem274*

123/5
Yep, **** them, lets swing. We can't bat for draws. Lets have some fun as we go down.

And if we have some good fortune, we can win and piss all over South Africa's parade.

Flem you are absolutely dreaming if you think there is even an outside chance of us winning. At the start of our innings imo there was an outside chance of us batting out a draw. Now? It's almost all over already.

Bad luck McCullum - pity the umpire gave it out in the first place.

We can't draw either. You don't draw matches at 4/2 with your best batsman injured.

Might as well infuriate the South African pace attack as much as possible on the way down. See if we can't ruin Philander's average.

Got two special videos on the way for this series. One for the batsmen, and another for the bowlers.

Stay tuned.
The performances of our batsmen have been woeful. They probably make our bowlers look slightly better than they actually are though. Martin, Bracewell and Vettori haven't exactly put up stellar numbers this series.

I can't believe this situation with low catches... we all know the tv pictures never show anything conclusive, so why not leave it with the onfield umpires.

Plus the NZ batsman will still utilise their 'play positively' mindset and get out to attacking shots even if the chase isn't on
Steyn to Williamson, no run, Williamson chases a wide one! They're checking if that one carried, swinging away and it was pitched up, Williamson went for it and ended up slicing it towards point, Petersen was the man there and he dived low to his left and appeared to get his fingers just underneath the ball, inches from the ground, it's difficult to make out with the replays. The third umpire's taking his time. It's not given out, the inconclusive replays mean Williamson stays. Graeme Smith isn't happy. Appeal for a catch turned down
Good call

That looked so much more out on the replay than those usually do. Would be fuming I I was the fielder.

Good call
Also thought this sounded like a lot of Williamson's shots recently:

6.1
Morkel to Williamson, no run, ooh, just fell short, Williamson played that with soft hands, good for him, stretched forward to that good length ball and it landed inches short of de Villiers at second slip
In 'soft hands' I read 'feeling for the ball' - might be harsh as I didn't see that one but he was definitely doing it the other day. Anyway just a small something to work on.

Yeah, this is a real problem with Williamson's batting at the moment, and something I'd attribute to a diet of ODI/20-20 cricket. Too often he's looking to defend balls that are 6 inches+ outside the off stump, and against bowlers like Philander who seam the ball that's very, very risky. I haven't been able to watch much of this series, but I saw one over during his 77 in Hamilton where he played two consecutive pushes to cover for none, then tried the exact same shot the next ball and edged it for four - seems like he wants to feel bat on ball all the time.

Keen to watch Brownlie bat. Shouldn't be too long.

Steyn: I'm not going to apologise Kane. I'm not going to apologise.

This will no doubt be the kiss of death but Guptill and Williamson doing well to have faced 50 balls each of this.

Edit: Lol, literally next ball
