Great day of results this.

Look forward to seeing another "beautiful" Liverpool performance on MOTD later.

G'wan Wigan.

Haha wow, yeah, just seen it. Cristiano Ronaldo-esque.

Bet you'll never see him do that again in a crunch situation when Arsenal desperately need someone to come up trumps though.

Sounds pretty insane. Ought to be a decent Motd today.

On another amusing note, sounds like Djibril Cisse is doing his best to get QPR relegated. Another second straight red card today, hope he has fun sitting out the next 3 matches, not like they're of any particular importance or anything. What a berk.

Rangers 6 1 Dunfermline - YouTube

6:20 in. Last minute of the season, has to score that penalty to secure the title, and was only 21 at the time. He's got the cojones if needs be.

edit: actually 4 weeks prior to that would be a better example. Losing 2-1 at Dundee, Barry Ferguson, already having missed 1 penalty, steps up but sees the keeper save his spot kick. Ball goes out for a corner, which is swung in and one of the Dundee defenders decides to handle it. Rangers have their 3rd penalty. 10 minutes left. Arteta steps up and sticks it in the top corner.

Shaping up to be one of the worst signings ever. Up/down there with that Dutchman that the Irons bought who then promptly went mental & effed off to live in a caravan. Boogers, was it?

Yeah, wasn't having a dig at him, he's a class act. Just tends to be the Arsenal way to steamroller and pull out all the stops when the pressure is off, and then when it's crunch time and you really need a goal they don't have the same determination and flair.

That said, in a true crunch situation I wouldn't be happy for a player to have a shot from a freekick like that anyway. 9 times out of 10 it would never come off etc...

Yeah, it's one of Arsenal's biggest failings (one that I pin the blame for squarely on Wenger), but it's not an accusation you can throw at Arteta. He's proven in his career that he has massive amounts of bottle in big situations.

Once Rangers get their **** sorted out I'd love for the two clubs to have some sort of agreement. Unfortunately Kyle Bartley's spell up here hasn't really worked out, but rather than send the likes of Wilshere and Miyachi on loan to Bolton, I think Arsenal could potentially see some big benefits from sending players like that to Rangers for 6 months or a season because of the pressure and demands that would be put on them in Glasgow.

Citeh a little bit lucky to get a point from that. They're really not up to much away from home, Arsenal will fancy their chances in a couple of weeks.

Given the alternatives I'm inclined to agree.

After Rooney Grunt Holt is the highest scoring Englishman in the Prem. Eeuuww.

Grant Holt is superman. That Crouch goal reminds me of the Graeme Sharp one at Anfield in the 80's. Similar dip on a great volley anyway.
