Might be their easiest route back into the CL. And IIRC after the Liverpool debacle in 05 UEFA changed the rules so that if a team outside the top 4 won it, unlucky 4th place. Can anyone confirm?
Think you're right, but CBA to check it up.

Be funny if it was T*ttenham, less so if it was the Gooners. Moot point tho I suspect. Chavs long odds overcoming (probably) Real and Barca.

Anyway, good result for the Arse, even if a Spurts defeat always warms the ****les.

Given the weather today, I'm feeling pretty bitter that I stayed inside for the past two hours to watch that. Dire stuff.

What happened when Liverpool won it is that they had to go through early qualifiers again. But Everton were still in it...they just didn't get past Villareal IIRC.

Yeah, they changed the rules after that so that now the reigning champions replace the 4th placed team from their country.

Liverpool hitting a new low aws.

They're not going to beat Barcelona and whoever out of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich make the final.

Joke. Kenny not done us any favours. Topped off by a centre half putting two past you. Yak misses from 5 yards out. Bolton taken 6 from Rovers this season.

Watched the first half of the Arsenal game. Villa were so poor, full public inquiry needs to be opened to discover how Heskey played 62 times for England. Big critic of Walcott but he was unplayable in the first 40 minutes. Well taken goal as well.

28 points. Bolton on 26 with a game in hand. QPR and Wigan only a good win (Wigan need to win 9 nil) away from over taking Rovers. Man U next. Not good.

Absolutely horrible performance. Bolton were always going to be tough today, but why we thought endless long balls to a lazy poacher like Yak was going to be anything other than a waste of time is beyond me. We only looked dangerous when we got the ball to Hoilett in a bit of space but we never looked like we were trying to do that. Pedersen long throws are just a lottery, it's not something our attack should be based around.

Might have been different if the refs eyes weren't painted on and we got that penalty mind you.

12th in the table, nose bleeding everywhere, Ronnie is ****ing God and we're the Pride of Merseyside. Let the good times roll.

Woy would've been tarred and feathered by now had he still been in charge.

Least his signings had the merit of being shyte but cheap as opposed to shyte and expensive.

Good times for the Arse suddenly. 10 point deficit to a 3 point lead in 5 games.

'Arry for England, etc...

At Ewood though. You were in far worse form when you won at Old Trafford TBF.
