BTW, it's not JUST that he's too slow, he doesn't completely suck, he's just quite mediocre and shouldn't be in or around the Australian team.

It's not just complete guess work though. Siddle has an obvious history of teasing with good form, until returning to bowling ****e. But given the apparent improvement with his bowling that has coincided with McDermott, and that he has actually strung together good results for a while now, I have to admit the signs are pretty promising. If he continues bowling this way as well he'd be up there as my first pick in the team. The stamina, reliability and general wicket taking ability he is providing at the moment is pretty invaluable, and something you can base an attack around. If he starts bowling **** again though, he can GAGF as far as I'm concerned. We have pretty awesome bowling depth atm and can do better than the old Siddle.

I don't know why people don't rate Faulkner very much. He isn't an amazing bowler, and his FC average as it stands probably flatters him a little, but he gets pretty decent pace and movement plus has the consistency other left handers like Starc completely lack.

Smith averages 19 over his last 24 innings for SA so while he's still young, he should have a season or two on the sidelines.

Of course this is SA so he won't

I really rate the kid. He'll be a strong Australian performer by the next World Cup.
