Nah, at the start of that over they needed 16 from 12. A good over would've won the game, or even if he'd gone for 8-10 he'd have left something to defend.

What a bloody farce it has ended in! As bad as India's bowling was, India didn't get enough runs and Tendulkar's knock was responsible for it to a large extent. I didn't see the whole innings, only saw when he got from 88 to 100, and that was piss poor. Played everything so softly. Went on backfoot for balls that deserved to be slapped through cover from the front foot. Easily one of the worst centuries by Tendulkar. It could have been forgotten if India had won the game, but not to be. No one would be able to remember it fondly, which is a pity.

By faaaar the poor bowling hurt more. 289 was more than decent.
