We gave up raging about it years ago, it's always been like this. Was the other thing I was gonna comment on. Leg stump half volleys need to be put away convincingly - if not for four, at least make the fielder work for it. They've had plenty of chances and have instead managed to pick up a four at third man, lose a wicket and eke out some singles. That's just letting pressure build.
And Williamson looks ****ing awful when he defends shortish balls miles outside off like that.
Arnel's not what you call an old ball specialist anyway.Damien Wright on the radio saying Boult was dropped because they wanted somone to bowl with the old ball. Don't really buy that - Bracewell and Vettori are good with the older ball and Martin is ok.
Great logic. Let's get someone without any pace and bowls gun-barrel straight in internationals to have a go at a class lineup with the old ****ing ball. Sure to succeed.Damien Wright on the radio saying Boult was dropped because they wanted somone to bowl with the old ball. It's almost like the plan is that Vettori and Arnel bowl overs 40-80 at 2 per over for no wickets.Great logic. Let's get someone without any pace and bowls gun-barrel straight in internationals to have a go at a class lineup with the old ****ing ball. Sure to succeed.
That plan wouldn't be an awful one if Arnel was actually capable of going for 2 an over. It's almost like the plan is that Vettori and Arnel bowl overs 40-80 at 2 per over for no wickets.
Anyway now he's talking about Southee's action and making more sense.
what the **** do you expect! They lost their top order and are still behind the first innings. **** man, they may be absolute arse but they need to try and be a liiiiiiiitle bit carefulLast 10 overs 12/0. Gripping stuff
... and a boundary!
Can't understand this logic. If the batsmen aren't stepping up, then how on earth does having more batsmen fix that? Might as well stack up our comparative strength.some guy on cricinfo said:"Our batting line-up looks awfully flaky when we have Vettori in at #6, and that needs to be strengthened as the specialist batsmen aren't stepping up.
Wasn't suggesting they should be doing anything differentwhat the **** do you expect! They lost their top order and are still behind the first innings. **** man, they may be absolute arse but they need to try and be a liiiiiiiitle bit careful
Make the top three apologise to the fans as they leave the ground.
