Sl lower order batting is so damn predictable, hope Tharanga can get some of his customary edges to thirdman.

Can't really expect Kula to replicate his innings down under here. This game was done once Mahela got out imo.

Hmm forgot we had Maharoof in the side today. Quite a useful batsman so lets see if he can get us there.

Irfan's been a huge positive for us since his comeback. Adds so much balance to our line up.

Nice win for us.

also surprised at the crowd for a neutral game. Seemed to be making a fair bit of noise.

Good stuff India. Now Pakistan, let's not screw things up, get a win against SL. This way we get the opportunity to bash you twice in the tournament. ;)

The difference in the end was that India took wickets at regular intervals. Ashwin was great, was the only spinner in the entire game not bowling darts and got some good purchase out of the track.

Pathan seemed to be in good rhythm, got a ball near 140 at one point. Still not very penetrativeand his figures were very flattering. He seemed to get some confidence after that Dilshan wicket. Very much a confidence player.

It wasn't surprising that a couple of the SL wickets were from slower balls, it seemed the best method for the medium pacers on the track as the ball stopped a bit on the batsmen.

Mahela produced the innings of the game. Absolutely stunning innings. He would be kicking himself for getting out in such a soft manner after having played an absolute blinder. If he stuck around, India would have lost this game.

Waqar Younis was also a bit contradictory in his analysis. He blamed the Indian batsmen for not going for it in the batting powerplay and later blamed Sangakkara for getting out while going for it in the batting powerplay.

Younis is a terrible cricket analyst. The best one I know is Nasser. Now that's a guy who knows cricket.

tbf most commentators are contradictory

if a risky shot goes for a boundary they will say "Oh, great improvisation"

and if the batsmen get out, they will be like "there was no need for that risk"

Can't say how contradictory Waqar was in his analysis but I usually find him a good commentator
