I think signing Podolski is a good move. Even if he's not as good as he's cracked up to be, I doubt he'd be a flop. And quality aside, he's a big name, and big name signings are what Arsenal need. Would send out all the right signals I think.
I'm just concerned that he struggled to settle in Munich - he's a bit of a homeboy and I'm also a bit suspicious of players that turn it on at international level but who don't do it at club level.

It's not a terrible move but I wouldn't be suprised if he flopped either.

The way van Persie plays, I reckon you should be able to fit in a more traditional target man alongside him. van Persie's movement is tremendous but he so often picks the ball up in areas where your number 9 'shouldn't' be. Could potentially be interesting.
Yeah can see the logic and you definetly could but I don't think it is necessary or even desirable even if it is as a skilled one as Llorente, rather like Ibra at Barca.

What Arsenal need (besides the obvious issues) is more quality around Van Persie, basically not Gervinho. There are quite rightly some reservations around Podolski but think he could be a good move.

So that's Liverpool almost certainly totally out of the running for the last Champions League place. Not a good time to be a QPR or Wolves fan either it would seem.

Sunderland were staring down the barrel when Wibble took over, they're now 2 points behind Liverpool.

Dalglish must stay.

It's not just you, he's a massive ****. Perfectly personifies Liverpool FC.

Also, lol Spurs. Biggest myth since Jesus.

Said a couple of weeks back that I was looking forward to Spurs dropping off, they then promptly went and scored 5 against Newcastle glad that it was not far away.

It's all apparently because they're so devastated at the greatest manager ever leaving, that they can't play.

Not at all that they're just reverting to normal Spurs under-achievement, and the team has been pathetically over-hyped all season.

I swear they played a crap team every week for about 4 months.

Their squad may well be the 3rd best in the league but they were never anywhere near title contenders and everyone knew that really. Hope Modric leaves in the summer.

He's just out of his depth IMO.
That or the players are just not very good which he must take a fair bit of the blame for given he wasted a stupid amount of money.

How **** a Comoli done though? I don't know who was the real driving force behind the transfers but they have done a ridiculously bad job.

Yeah, that's Comolli's sole job at the club, as Director of Strategy, as far as I know. It's why he throws in needless comments like after the Carling Cup Final when he mentioned we've already got big name players lined up for the Summer. I think he know how much pressure there is at the moment because he's done so tremendously badly.

Can't imagine Dalglish not getting a say though. Imagine the awfully high prices is down to Comolli though.
