The way Australia did. That would be the template, imo. Green top FTW.Will be particularly interesting to see how SA manage to throw away a Test against that lot.
Taylor might be awesome and crack a 150*, so 270 might be on the cards in that innings.I'll be a little surprised if we make 250 at any stage of the series with that team.
As BFP pointed out, that's the strongest 11 we could put on the field, apart from Nicol. So I guess the team will be
McCullum
Guptill
Williamson
Taylor
Nicol
Vettori
Twatling
Bracewell
Southee
Boult
Martin
Wow, we are going to get turbo-****ed. I'll be a little surprised if we make 250 at any stage of the series with that team.
They said, to which I'm extremely skeptical, that Ryder was dropped because of poor form and wouldn't have even been considered for the tests.Did i hear on the news that Jesse Ryder was only out for two matches? Might have heard that wrong.
Given how badly the batting is weakened by Ryder and Brownlie's absence, and given Vettori's piss poor form for ND I wouldn't bother with 4 seamers. That only worked in Hobart because we were playing on a green top, and for some stupid reason it sounds like New Zealand's grounds keepers are busy preparing a sequence of flat batting tracks for the tests. Revert to 6 specialist batsmen, drop ****ling for either young or van wyk (probably the latter based on current form) and play Boult ahead of Southee. As BFP pointed out, that's the strongest 11 we could put on the field, apart from Nicol.
Who would you change, other than Nicol?
Yeah, that frankly doesn't make sense. They should really be honest about this and just say that Ryder is out of the team indefinitely. They said, to which I'm extremely skeptical, that Ryder was dropped because of poor form and wouldn't have even been considered for the tests.
So your ideal team would be something like this?Given how badly the batting is weakened by Ryder and Brownlie's absence, and given Vettori's piss poor form for ND I wouldn't bother with 4 seamers.
Is also prefer anyone ahead of Guptill. That useless **** couldn't build a test innings to save himself.
6. What do I win?Quiz question (linked to the current NZ test team) - how many current active NZ players have been in a test XII, but are yet to make their test debut?
6!6. What do I win?
Give me your 3 and I might give you my 6.6!
Undying admiration from fellow forum-ers for your superior knowledge. Unless, or course, you are making it up.
I only know of 3.
