Ha! So no serious introspection for 2 consecutive 4-0 losses overseas? Totally expected it, and I don't know about you all, but I know what is to blame for this.

Indian cricket administrators have been experts in stonewalling the media for quite some time now. Dont know why they are so bad at it nowadays.

It was utter lack of professionalism on Cheeka's part to lose his temper like that

So...the rugby league starts at 8 and there's no ****ing cricket on in the meantime. Or have I missed something?

They should probably have a designated spokesperson for this sort of thing. Should not really be part of the selectors job to make statements and media briefings of this sort.

A bit rich coming from a guy who made fun of selectors in the past though.

Got this in an email today from a Sri Lankan friend :

Hey WTFruit.....! Match Fixing? This is dodgy.. someone on Cricinfo asked about 320 when Sri Lanka were 167-1 in 34 overs!?

Yadav replaces Zaheer, who is usually India's Powerplay specialist.

34.1 Yadav to Dilshan, 1 leg bye, fast and straight on the pads, Dilshan can't get bat on the flick to the leg side, but gets the leg bye away.

34.2 Yadav to Sangakkara, 1 run, Sanga is out of his crease again, a full length ball wide of off stump squeezed into the covers for one.

"Now tell me , in how many overs India has to chase 320 to get bonus point," asks Aman. 40 overs, irrespective of whether SL are all out for 169, or rack up 953 for 6. A change of bat for Sanga. Brings out the Hattori Hanzo now. Expect more violence.

34.3 Yadav to Dilshan, 1 run, yet again, Umesh beats Dilshan's bat with a straight pacy ball that is inside edged onto the pad and to the off side.

34.4 Yadav to Sangakkara, 1 run, third man is fine, and wisely. Sanga opens the face and dabs a wide ball outside off rapidly to third man.

34.5 Yadav to Dilshan, no run, back of a length outside off at 142 kph, Dilshan cuts straight to point.

34.6 Yadav to Dilshan, 1 run, that swings in, Dilshan throws his bat at it in hope and inner edges to the leg side for one.

Yeah look that's pretty wierd and all, but surely was just picking a round number as a guess score he thought SL could get to. If he knew SL was scoring 320 (to engineer it exactly odds approaching zero) he knew india was chasing it within 40 & didn't need to ask the question. Publicly.

Just a wierd comment in hindsight
