Agree with (his name is too long) there was no luck or breaks here - just appalling decision making in the last over.
And Ryder losing the plot completely.
Luckily I don't think too many people were pumped to win this game but when you are expecting to win with 5 overs to go and don't it is like the rug being whipped out from under you.
Anyways it was entertaining to the max I got my moneys worth.

Did anyone else notice how comically attrocious Doull's numeracy is?
Best example being Nicol bowling 102km/h then 74km/h, Doull stating "that was almost 25km slower, it was, 26 in fact"
Then while interviewing Guptill, he said something like "30 runs today, well done mate", Guptill scored 26.

We just tend to take it for granted that everything Doull does is ****, we only take notice when he does something right.

Haha yes I thought the same thing, can always rely on him making a few dumb remarks. He also seems incapable of making an estimate and has to select a range whenever giving an opinion.

Anyway....I'm with Jono, I think that sort of a choke is very nearly genuinely unique- I really can't recall anything like it. Scoring at 9 an over with wickets in hand and needing 17 off the last 4 overs, and not really losing because of a collapse of wickets, but because suddenly, out of nowhere, no-one could score any runs. We required less than half the run-rate we were scoring out and we had a licence to slog. It's just staggering. It's almost too absurd to be angry about.
Couple points: What makes it even more extraordinary is that De Lange honestly just bowled short, wide rubbish that last over. Thing is, I had a strong inkling that sort of bowling would work.
I have absolutely no confidence in N. Mac or Bracewell to score quick runs against half decent bowling. We still have a lower order of "he can bat a bit" types, but it's not one of the better lower orders we've had. I know you shouldn't be relying on your lower order in T20, but you still need blokes who can get you 6 off 6 or lay bat on ball if need be.
