I think Kohli's going to have a lot of good knocks and have a high average, but probably very few big tons.

International Debutant
Phillip Hughes.

I think he'll have a fairly average career in the next 4-5 years, but then become a run monster when he hits his 30s.

umar akmal, tamim iqbal
Appear to have topped out. Generally overrated if likeable

james taylor
Yet to play a single international. Too early to tell.

adrian barath, kraigg brathwhite
Suppose they could also fall into "too early to tell", but as far as I see not actually very good.

phil hughes, c. pujara
Won't actually play Tests again for a few years, hence too early to tell and not looking good.

steven smith, other
Dunno but I reckon "other" is probably a better bowler

kane williamson, virat kohli, rohit sharma, darren bravo
Actually quite good but sod these people

dinesh chandimal
woop woop woop

Wasn't sure who to vote for, then I saw that Steven Smith is a ninja. Choice became clear.

Missed Kohli in that list, would have given it to him. Voted for Chandimal instead who would probably have a fairly good career himself.

And I suppose I've been riding the Kohli train for a while but the Chandimal train is less mainstream.

International Debutant
@Howe_Zat James Taylor has played one ODI against Ireland on a winters day in Dublin. He scored 1.

From that list i think Darren Bravo.

I'm aboard the Taylor train, think this guy is the future as far as England's batting is concerned. Many people will jump aboard this train once he gets his chance to show his awesomeness, hopefully it will be later this year for the test team.

Must admit I'm slightly agnostic about Taylor. He's got impressive figures, but whenever I've seen him he's never really looked the complete article yet.

I'm far more excited about Buttler as a prospect. Does look the 24 karat article as opposed to a pyrite () copy.

Yes Butler is another who really excites and hopefully his one day form translates into test cricket, if ever given the chance. Maybe the fact that he hasn't really found his place in the side in first class cricket at Somerset is somewhat to do with his rather poor stats in that form of the game.

None of these guys really jump out at me. Kohli has impressed in ODIs I guess, and Bravo's played a few good knocks.

Reckon most of these guys will be solid international pros but not much else.

Well of course Darren Bravo tops the list for me :D ,

But i'm glad Brathwaite and Barath have got a mention, lets remember Barath scored a ton in Australia aged 19 on his debut, while Brathwaite in India just recently aged 18 more than held his own and got two 50s in three tests, not bad i'd say, both of them combined to get a 100 run opening partnership in the third test against India which if i'm not mistaken makes them the youngest opening partnership to achieve that feat in test history (18 and 21) .

I just hope Umar Akmal learns to not throw the game away. Has all the talent in the world (probably more than most of these guys), and it would be a shame if he wastes it. I remember when he was smashing Siddle for 6's during our disastrous tour of Australia.
