No.They are two very diffirent things.

His batting technique is fine. His problem is having Afridi like mad moments, which is not a technical issue. If he controls his urge to hit out every now and then then he could do wonders.

I'm sorry, but I don't buy that. Having a good technique, for mine anyway, includes knowing when and which balls to play your shots against.

yeah agree with Smali thats temperament but I also believe Umer has a few technical issues aswell in his game especially against the moving ball.

Younis out for Pakistan. Misbah wins toss and chooses to bat.

Umar passes the gloves to his bro. Rehman misses out.

England unchanged.

Blow for Pakistan losing Younis, but the change that had to happen was Adnan Akmal coming into the side. Keeping against Ajmal, Afridi, etc, cannot be easy for a specialist keeper let alone a man who dons the gloves so infrequently. I appreciate every side wants a keeer that can contribute heavily with the bat too to give the side some balance, but in these conditions the non-specialist behind the stumps can make big contributions in helping to lose his team a game.

No changes for England and no surprise really. Although I agree with that, shame we're not going to see much of Jos Buttler in this series.

Finally!

I'm glad Asad will get another chance.I'm a huge fan of the guy.He knows how to pace the innings well.Very good combination of aggression and defense. The only downside of this team selection is Imran Farhat getting another chance.Make Umar open the innings FFS!

Anyhoo,Afridi will win it for us today.Expect him to run through the English lineup under lights.

He isn't dropped.He's unfit.

Either way,i'm OK with it.Younis brings a lot of experience to the side, and atleast on Paper, makes our batting look stronger than the one chosen for this match. But his ODI form has been pretty poor offlate. He hasn't scored a century in over 2 years, and a large number of his best performance since have been against minnows.

Both he and Misbah need to be left out of the shorter formats sooner rather than later.

Hmm. Anderson consistently too legside-ish in this opening spell. That's two on the skid that Fart has just had to tickle down to fine leg for boundaries.

Finny! Gets one to leave the left hander slightly and Fart nibbles obligingly. Good take from Kies too.

Could've probably been left quite comfortably.
