thinking about it wa will probably just try to find the replacement from within. there's not really that many options. dunk maybe if qld keep their brain and keep hartley as their shield keeper next season. i doubt triffitt will move given no-one knows what the hell will happen with paine. but if he was to move you'd think SA would make a huge attempt to get him given crosthwaite hasn't done much. david dawson/luderman/m johnson might make a move to vic or something to shadow carters.

Cam Bancroft to get a run? Did the job for the U/19s and has already been given a couple of games.

Would be very tempted to approach Dawson if I were WA.

Victoria have a couple of keepers behind Wade but I guess if he gets promoted then it won't be an issue for one of them.

Bancroft looks to have done well in the lower forms so he should be given a crack.

CricketNSWBlues Timm Van Der Gugten has joined squad in Perth for today's match. Scott Coyte has returned to Sydney for the birth of his first child. about 1 hour ago · reply · retweet · favorite

I like to think of this as an admission they ****ed up playing abbott. anyway, not sure if timm plays. the game we played van der Gugten/Lalor/Copeland in things got a bit samey and Hazlewood had to play a big role. but then lalor/copes/sok/hauritz/watson is.......

I mean, our constant **** batting is the reason we've sucked this season.... SO WE DROP THE LEADING RUN SCORER SO AS TO ALLOW A POSSIBLE 7 MAN ATTACK?!?>!?!?!?2][ol ]p-3wjit[ 4jhtp hnhb

I mean, I would be this upset if Rohrer had got the chop instead of Nev. It's just ****ing stupid.

Yeah that really just takes the piss unless Watson isn't fit to bowl. In fact it'd still take the piss even then.

Yeah it's not a Nev thing; it's a ********-NSW-selectors-picking-nine-bowlers thing; a problem that goes back to before Nev even debuted.

Of course this all goes back to Sok (C) and Big Ben (VC). Why the **** we didn't just leave Katich in charge...in this case Haddin would then become captain, Hauritz plays over SOK and we don't play 17 bowlers. SOK and Ben just limit selection options so much

edit and yeah we've been doing it for ages, we like doing this. we need to stage a coup.

And after we stage the coup I'm gonna have a sign with the phrase: "NEVER EVER MAKE THE SPINNER OR WICKET KEEPER CAPTAIN UNLESS THEY HAVE A ****ING IRON GRIP ON THAT SPOT." put up

I don't think O'Keefe being captain has much to do with it; I reckon they'd have picked the same team anyway. We probably would've played Hauritz over him in Hobart but I don't really care about that. Hauritz playing here shows that they wanted that many bowlers for whatever reason IMO.

Steve O'Keefe (c) 16 overs for the match
Nathan Hauritz 29 overs for the match
Timm van der Gugten 18 overs for the match
Trent Copeland 52 overs for the matcg
Josh Lalor 28 overs for the matcg
Shane Watson 16 overs for the match
Steve Smith 2 overs for the match (it'll happen)

Given Hauritz has a decent enough record at the WACA and SOK has never played there I reckon if SOK doesn't have the C they only play one spinner and it's Hauritz.

and if Coyte plays i reckon hauritz maybe doesn't. i mean, i did say Timm/Lalor/Cope or Lalor/Cope/SOK/Hauritz could be an iffy attack either way so i dunno know they've tried to cover their bases. which is totally ****ing stupid.

and if true that makes it like 4 times this season when a late out has totally ****ed with the team structure

It's the 7th over of the first innings at the WACA and Michael Beer is bowling

I've pretty much had it up to here

So stupid. :( Not sure of the stats, but hasn't Nev been our best bat this season? Feel like he's averaging 60.

Bah!

Not sure in terms of stats, but Nev and Moz have been our best in that most of the time they've been the only ones holding their heads up following a top and middle order collaspe. Katich has a couple of tons but has also let us down a few times in said collapses, same with Rohrer (except he has one less ton but probably one more 50) and the others have been either **** or only played like 2 games.
