*Official* English Football Season 2011-12

The Sean

Cricketer Of The Year
Wolves have sacked McCarthy. Not sure if there's any truth in the rumour that Mick refused to shake hands with Steve Morgan at the end of the meeting.

Don't really understand that. Yeah they were a shambles yesterday but he has done a fine job at Wolves, why sack him just after the window? Not a particularly atractive proposition taking over at this time.

In other news looks like Tevez is on his way back, does not deserve it but both parties really need each other right now.

BARNES OUT
I don't want to see him play again, but I agree that we need him. With him we don't lose to Sunderland, Everton and we don't draw with West Brom.

****ing **** ****ing **** of a **** **** tbh.

He sure is but as you say he would be making a big difference at this stage, I really love Aguero the goals are not quite coming at the moment, seemed at hs best when others were scoring freely around him as well.

He needs you just as much though, has already doe himself a fair amount of damage but a whole year without playing football would do nothing for him.

So Wolves must be a back door into the top flight for Colin. Can't think of anyone available more suited.

Yeah I think he probably would as long as he kept himself fit in between all the golf.
Iirc, Tevez came back for this season a bit overweight. Struggled with emotional eating or something, which is understandable.

@cpr Lol. Oh noes. Would be a story I guess. Any other real candidates?
Not really and I can't see Wolves being bold and going for someone from abroad or taking someone from the lower leagues. Is why I think it will be Bruce which is just so boring.

Really strange sacking, as has already been said, he's done a good job with Wolves, and I don't think they would have gone down with him in charge. It's not like the alternatives that they're likely lining up with be any great improvement in any case.

Furball

Evil Scotsman
Ok, they got thumped 5-1 yesterday but have they really gotten worse over the last 6 weeks to an extent that it justifies this action now?

I doubt they'll go down in any case. Wigan, Bolton and Blackburn are an absolute laughing stock this season.

It won't be clear cut though It is obviously 3 from 5 but all are capable of getting out of it. Blackbuacadian certainly score goals and Wigan will just keep plugging away like they did last season.

QPR shouldn't go down after January investment but they need to start getting points because their run in is horrible, that Cisse red card was really costly.

They're the most cynical team in the division, although they're not as bad as they were last year, and consequently nowhere near as difficult to beat.

Would probably rate him as the best foreign player to ever play in the Premiership to be honest. Certainly top 5. Bergkamp, Zola, Ronaldo and Di Canio keeping him company probably. Maybe substitute Di Canio for Cantona, Schmeichel or Vieira.
Hmm Henry and Ronaldo are in a league of their own as far as attacking players are concerned. There's a lot to be said for guys like Bergkamp, Zola and Di Canio but they can't really compete with players that score ridiculously good goals all the ****ing time.
