Should have sacked as soon as the campaign ended because of that too. The politics of trying to get Joe Cole into the side was absolutely ridiculous. England need to get Gordon Ramsay in for the Euros and tell them to **** off as required, it's like the rugby team - if you've no discipline you're winning sweet FA. As England aren't anything flash to start with they need a LOT of discipline to stand a reasonable chance.

Couldn't the FA have FA'd it up a few months ago, then we could've had O'Neill.... He's a man manager/motivator, Harry isnt. He buys and sells until he's got what he needs, then tends to sell them again for no reason (bar a reduced 5% rate).

I think the FA in their wisdom have already decreed it has to be an Englishman, even if Jose or Hiddink wanted it, presumably they'd rather have Fat Sam or Colin.
Mind you they're always capable of a u-turn.

On a serious note, what a balls up. Shouldn't be surprised really, as the FA is pretty much the biggest group of cretinous idiots going, but this is bad even by their standards.

Yeah indeed, got to beef with them picking an English guy as long as he's good. But that's not exactly a long list. It's barely even a list.
