Haha Ellis was waving his bat like a spastic when he was practising those shots. Unflattering camera angles ftw,

Terrible effort this from NZ.
This is looking like being a very achievable total for Zimbabwe. They've done well in the field.
It's reasonable to mention Zimbabwe have hardly bowled well either, and their ground fielding has been atrocious.

Im picking Zimbabwe to be out for 120 or so

Missed most of the match so far though doesn't look great. Reckon we could still push up to 250-260.

Was a bit of a surprise for me to see N.McCullum come in at 7, but tbf he probably deserves it based on recent performances for NZ and Otago. Definitely should be no lower than 8 at present.

Last three wickets bowled and two of them from slogs - not what is needed when we're in danger of being bowled out.

Think we're still favourites but Zimbabwe a definite chance

Zimbabwe just need to keep their heads. Take their time, preserve wickets, don't panic when the RRR goes above 5.5 and they should be able to get this target.

Zimbabwe are definitely capable of chasing this total. They just need a couple of guys to fire.

Watching some ODIs from the early 90s atm. Waugh just retired hurt.

NZ card features such names as Pringle and de Groen. Both bowled very well. Larsen got tap.

Prefer the roster we had in the late 90s-early 00s. I used to love watching guys like Roger Twose, Stephen Fleming, Nathan Astle, Chris Cairns etc.

Not too worried tbh. Mills went for 0-29 off his ten last time he bowled to Zimbabwe, and with home conditions I think we'll probably be able to pull of the now-traditional Strangle manouevre.

It didn't happen very often.

We had some awful teams in the 90s. Those were tough times for hard core NZ supporters.

I checked the scorecard from that game and was amazed to see Grubby de Groen snared 2/40 off his 10. His finest performance in a NZ jersey, surely?

Pringle however, no suprise, was a fine ODI bowler.

Chris Pringle was one of the most underrated bowlers in NZ ODI history. Strike rate of 32.1, economy rate of 4 and a half odd, he was pretty good. I still think of him when I see zinc sunscreen.
