***Official*** Zimbabwe in New Zealand 2012

NZTailender

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Gonna jinx it, but all the stats point to a Guptill special today.

Averages
vs Zimbabwe: 145
playing at home: 47.25
lost the toss and sent in: 43.18
batting at #2 position: 50.63

Mind you, his average of 32.32 batting first works against him.

Pretty sure he hit the cover off that. The delivery didn't deserve a wicket though.

Edit: Actually it was glove.

It was a mistake bringing on the spinner to Williamson. He was tied down and giving him his favourite type of bowling was a risk.

On the flipside, some of Guptill's weaker batting comes against spin.

I can't stand the prick. Atrocious commentary.
Interested to know why you feel like that? I would happily listen to Steve Davie all day. He is a proper broadcaster who can convey more to the viewers than an awkward ex-player can. It's a shame the trend is to do away with commentators like him in place of someone who took 99 Test wickets or scored a few runs. Certainly doesn't make them good to listen to.

I find his commentary tedious and he's as dry as a Nun's nasty.

Examples of NZ commentators I like: Jeremy Coney, Ian Smith, John Morrison, Bryan Waddle.

Bring in Brownlie please.

Was doing some Statsguru magic and Guptill averages something like 32 against non-minnows.

Terrible effort this from NZ.
This is looking like being a very achievable total for Zimbabwe. They've done well in the field.

New Zealand making a mess of this.

Clearly look like an international team that have not played together in a long while; or in the case of many of them, never.
