Shield side looks pretty much as per expected except Maddo getting boned. Thought after some BBL runs he might have got a reprieve, but fair enough decision. Where to bat SOK is a tricky one. Maybe they'll go for the left field option and have him "man up' as opener?

Interesting also that Haddin is being rested from the Shield game.

Perhaps when the selectors are talking about two keepers to Caribbean they don't mean Hadds + 1?

Handscomb looks a decent prospect, in the runs again and apparently killing it in Grade cricket. Used his feet well to the leggie.

Was hoping to see what Maddinson could do after his performance in the BBL, he looked to be finding his way back to his best form.

Plenty of guys have gone from a game the day before to play in a state game.

PMs XI is the 3rd, Shield is the 6th. No reason at all to miss the Shield game.

Well he's not dead. He's still in the Ryobi Cup team and he'll still be playing grade cricket.
