Incidentally, part of me thinks his performances might've improved Darren's chances of a recall from "when hell freezes" to merely "extremely unlikely". As Dernbach seems to be seventh in the pecking order he can't be that far away and the selectors might get a case of "Pattinson envy".

Anderson, Broad, Bresnan, Tremlett, Finn, Onions, Woakes, Shahzad. Dernbach might be 9 in the order or 10 after Meaker.

Harris, Siddle, Hilfenhaus, Johnson, Pattinson, Cummins, Starc, Bollinger, Copeland

As much as everyone thinks that Johnson has played his last Test with a new crop of young fast bowlers Australia have found I think he will be back for the Ashes.

Harris, Pattinson, Cummins will be injured. Even Siddle might be worn out by then.
