***Official*** India in Australia 2011/12

Seems pretty inconsistent to me. Can definitely see why India don't want the predictive element.
Umpiring itself is based on prediction. The umpiring process is enhanced with DRS. Although it isn't perfect; getting more decisions right > getting less decisions right.

Obv last in Oz, I was meaning could this be his last innings period?
Well aware, which is why I responded in that fashion. This ain't his last test innings unless he decides to retire, will never be dropped, that much I can guarantee.

Hawkeye and SnickO are worked out by the bloke out the back in the caravan. It is his prediction, it hasnt been worked out by NASA

DRS is meant to correct obviously wrong errors, not assist with the extremely difficult decisions

And you weigh that up with the waiting around for confirmation of the decision instead of it being instantaneous, which for mine takes away the enjoyment of watching the game, and the only reason sport exists is for people to watch it.

All I'm saying is that it's easy to see why certain people don't like the idea of DRS. Personally I don't care, I just want it uniform.

Been sucked in by the media spin, eh?

There is no way in hell the system works like that.

And no, snicko isn't a prediction, it's a sound that has occurred. Much like in tennis how hawkeye shows you what has actually happened, not what is predicted to happen.

Adelaide redevelopment. Can't say I'm fussed on it. Moving to drop in pitches too.

Like the head of the committee: "We haven't named the grandstands yet because we're very sensitive to tradition."

That's why we're tearing it all down and putting up monstrosities which look like giant Tontine pillows.

I do like what they're replacing the Bradman Stand with, but I think the Eastern stand is just a little too big, should mirror the Western one imo.

Of course he'd be dropped if he wasn't performing -perhaps not publicly, but by way of a subtle nudge from the selectors. I 'm not suggesting they drop him now because he's still scoring runs, I was wondering whether he may decide to retire.

Nope, he could get 0 after 0 and he'd still be in the team, he's not getting "dropped" period. lol.
