But on a flat pitch against a modest attack which bowled poorly. Even the experts put that caveat on it while praising the effort.

But that gets back to what Clarke's all about, give him a flat pitch and an honest attack and he's capable of murdering them, but one never expects him to survive too long in highly challenging conditions.

Was disappointed with his efforts in Joburg and Hobart when the team was chasing teasing targets to win. On both occasions he was bowled for single figures. That's why he'll never be spoken of in the same terms as Punter, G. Chappell et al. Steve Waugh is a good comparison because he eschewed batting up the order too.
Go and get laid or something.

Haha that entire series just seems to vanish from memory, probably because of the series that followed it.

I think a lot of Hussey's numbers are from the tail-end of his awesome run though. He was a real liability at #4 for us for quite a long time.

When did Hussey's golden run stop? IIRC he replaced Martyn at 4 after Adelaide 06...

So with Marsh, is it a case of first class figures don't lie?
I think so and I reckon I am not the only one.

Marsh, Cosgrove and Ferguson were completely wasted talents in my opinion. They should be in this team by now making plenty.

Talking of Marsh, apparently his old man got into trouble as SL coach for watching his boys play in the BB.
