I'd also be more comfortable if we had someone quarter decent lined up to replace him, because the money won't do us any good if we don't have players. We don't have anyone lined up afaik.

Maybe, and it's definitely something to consider, but if we did decide to make him stay against his will he's still got to perform for the sake of his own career. His chances of getting into a big team get slimmer if he sooks around and plays poorly or not at all when his team needs him.
Imo, someone would eventually buy him, but you'd end up with pittance.

I can see both sides of it.

Although they haven't officially signed anyone yet, I've been pleased to see that Hughes' primary concern is addressing the need for defenders. The players they are in discussions with look quality.

Would be exciting if they signed Henrique too.

Simply because Samba is in the transfer market doesnt change the fact that he's little more than an OK'ish defender

The guy is hardly going to be a saviour whether he's signed by QPR or retained by Rovers

He's hopeless on the ball and signing a solid centre-back mid-season is no way to fix a crappy defence. But in a relegation battle you'd so, so much rather be the team that has Samba.

He's not much with the ball but he's such a presence in the box at both ends at set pieces that it more than makes up for it. Real leader as well, never leaves anything in the tank and reads the game well. He's been one of my favorite players over the last few years, will be devo if he goes.

Funny how Warnock is "refusing to engage in a war of words" with Joey Barton and co....by writing newspaper articles about it.

He'll end up at Leeds, match made in hades. Perfect coupling, and I'll be happy with that, always like to focus my hate, makes life simpler.

Oh and  @Torres
